Going to paint it Minecraft green then add some Minecraft decals.

It's his birthday on Sunday :)

Can you adopt me please?

I remember my attempt to make a decent desk, I got the drawers OK but everything was so uneven and out of place I just scrapped it.

Hehe, I tried to make the handles look "Creeper" ish. Not sure if that will come across.

I would enjoy gaming on that.... nice work!

I got one of those stupid pull out tables for my keyboard and I hate it.

Very well done!

very nice build quality, altho i am going to give some constructive feedback

the center looks sort of trapped and almost claustrophobic; arms would be at the edges of the quarter circle and may be uncomfortable when ontop of the desk, for me anyway.

nice, i don't think i could even build a chair.

He's only 12 and skinny there's plenty of room for him.

It's 1600mm by 1600mm, bigger than it looks.

Chairs are more difficult.

@acanofcoke: Looks great! I really dig it. Don't forget the most important part for any PC desk... cord holes!

Very nice!

Looks good and saved a lot of money. When I set up an eyefinity build i needed a desk like this for 3 monitors to go on. Way to expensive! I ended getting wall mounts.

Thats one nice desk, make sure to post another when finished.

#18 Posted by Klunt_Bumskrint (3648 posts) -

Finished

Don't think I'll bother with decals. I think it looks fine as it is.

Unless he wants some of course.

Looks good! Shouldn't the monitor be in the corner though?

My dad never built me anything :C

@horgen123: No the left side is PC, right side is writing and homework.

Very nice and good to see parent do something like this for their children. I think he will be really happy to see it.

That monitor....is it not too big? It may hurt his eyes later I think since he wouldn't sit far enough away from the monitor.

It's inspiring to see someone build something like this for they're children! well done!!!!

It's a 32inch LCD TV.

That's a huge screen for desktop use. His eyes will strain and go bad pretty soon xD

@acanofcoke: Ah I see. Well I hope the gaming doesn't distract him to much from doing his homework then :P

He's allowed 1 hour of gaming a day. (lol, I'm such a huge hypocrite) and he gets 1 and a half hours of homework a day........boooo!

It does look very nice.

I could probably make something like that. But it probably wouldn't be as good. :P

Looks great. I'd like to make my own desk, I'd like to build one which integrates a USB HUB, audio connections, and have a noise dampened apartment to hold a tower PC with ventilation.

To be honest I think he should be truly proud to have a father like you. I don't know you in person but god bless you, you are truly an amazing dad.
