Hello!

I have been playing ALOT of games thees last months, but I came to think about one game I played several years ago and I cannot figure out the name of that game, so I thought maybe someone here might know about it, I do remember some of the game, but the name, ok here is all what I know.

So the game starts out, you choose a name and something I cannot recall.
You start out with a HQ and need to get Tenants to live in buildings you create, they will move in and start working for you, they.. re-produce and start to grow into new tenants.
You can hire the tenants to become your "Gangsters"
You can upgrade your gangsters with four weapons, a Knife, Pistol, Shotgun (I think) and a Tommy-gun.
You can bribe the police.
You can place out barrels that burns with the color of your "Family"
You need to build factories to get resources so you can build other buildings.
You can build a cemetery where you can dispose of dead people (enemy families and such)
Some thing I remember the most is that there are "bums" you can knock out and place them on your block where they will ruin your (or others) economy by doing such as the tenants go mad.

I do not remember allot more than this as I played the game for only a couple of hours, but It was really fun, and not that advanced like other mafia/gangster games.

If anyone have any idea of what this game might be please post

Thanks for looking!

Sounds like Constructor to me. It's not a Gangster game really, more like a building sim... with Gangsters and Undesirables in it lol.I had it for the original Playstation, sounds very similar. :P

Gangsters might be right up your alley. You should be able to find it in the CD jewel case discount rack for $5 or so.

There was a sequel called Gangsters 2, but they really dumbed it down so almost all the management aspects were removed in favour of pointless Diablo ****combat.

Bad ass Necro. But I was hoping to find my answer in this topic, but did not. I've been googling this game for a couple of years now, but I still haven't managed to find it. Your description sounds about the same as the one I'm looking for, but it's way older than Mob Rule. Probably VERY EARLY 90's, or mid 80's PC game, where you built up your mob Empire. You could battle other families, and the cops were after you, and such. And you could also play it multiplayer, I think. You could choose the color and name of your family, your stats, I pressume, and so on. I bet it was turn based, and you could get in to battles (similar to the Final Fantasy ones, if I recall it correctly) And it was pretty much just a white map, with buildings straight from above graphics. Old PC Mobster game from the 80's or early 90's, with poor (well, of course) graphics and mostly text based. Sorry for the Necro Post, but I'm really hoping to see some answers! Thanks in advance.

I have another game on this same topic... REALLY old (I always think when people hear "old" they think it has the meaning of last year or something....) I used to play the demo version (which I don't have no more..) All that comes to mind right now is that when a guy died is they screamed "Ahhh, you got me..." And when they didn't get payed they went "No pay ? I quit...", and subsequently started working for the other side... There was a simple 'research' tree, one for local or something and one for feds...(I think) You could not actually add cash into one or the other, but you could devote income towards it... Simple units...a guy with a club, a guy with a gun, a guy with a sniper rifle, a guy with a tommy gun (maybe on or two more, which I never used..)....only one type of car... Racketering was simple too....bust up the place enough till they 'join', enhancements to building were simple too..an upgrade created more cash.. (low grade buildings could be upgraded to stills and other cheap stuff..the higher ones could be turned into casinos and night clubs etc..the most profitable..) Catchy one tune music... No inside building views or anything, just very simple stuff...select guy-->attack building till it joins... The walkers came from the HQ and picked up the cash and walked back...delivered it....and the cash would be spent through a slider system... (either into cash, police bribes, or feds bribes..) Somewhat fast paced... Anyone got a clue ? (and yes...it's over 20 year old..or around that anyway..)
