No, any video capture will be that high. That video is raw, uncompressed video. You need to compress the video with a codec like Divx, WMV, Xvid, etc. That 400mb video will be about 5mb. ;)

You gotta use Virtualdub with those vids to make them smaller, or even the crappy built-in Windows Movie Maker... There's also Gamecam but it isn't freeware. It can record for several minutes but with no sound - If you want sound you gotta pay.
You basically drag and drop the video into the work area, wait for it to read everything, then click "Render As" and choose all of your video settings. Usually Windows Media 8 or Windows Media 9, 1mb per second, etc. Just play around with it. :)
