...NBA 2K15. So yeah, I'm one of those who have a crappy laptop and want to run a new game. Sue me.

Minimum System Requirements:

  • OS: Windows 7 64-bit/8
  • Processor: Intel Core2 Duo or better
  • Memory: 2 or more GB RAM
  • Graphics: DirectX 10.1 compatible (512 MB) or better
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Hard Drive: 50 or more GB available space
  • Sound Card: 9.0c compatible
  • Additional Notes: Keyboard or dual-analog gamepad

Recommended System Requirements:

  • OS: Windows 7 64 bit or higher
  • Processor: Intel Core i7 or better
  • Memory: 4 or more GB RAM
  • Graphics: DirectX 11.0 compatible (2 GB) or better
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Hard Drive: 50 or more GB available space
  • Sound Card: DirectX 9.0c compatible
  • Additional Notes: Dual-analog gamepad

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I got a crappy laptop (HP Pavilion something) with:

    • Intel (R) Core (TM) i5-4200U CPU @1.60GHz 2.30GHz
    • Windows 8
    • 8 GB of RAM
    • More than 50GB of space
    • A Panasonic Plasma 50'' 1080p (don't know if that might be important :P)

So give it to me straight guys, don't sugarcoat it. I don't expect or require to run the game to the max but I'm looking to run the game SMOOTHLY and with graphics that don't resemble NBA Live 1996.

Also, will I be able to run through my TV without problems?

Thanks!

You're going to have a real hard time with that I'm afraid as you don't have a dedicated GPU.

ML finally ventured off from the sports section and into the pc side!

Without knowing what gpu you have I'm just going to assume is integrated and is going to look crummier than x1. Maybe better than ps3. I don't know how it will run as I don't have the game.

As for the tv hook it up with an hdmi wire like you do with a console.

So I could:

  1. Buy a PS4/Xbox 1
  2. Play the gimped version on Xbox 360.
  3. Upgrade my computer?

Lets talk about #3.

So guys, is there a "one thing" solution? Like could I install a graphic card and fix this (keep in mind it is a laptop) or would it be too complicated?

Keep in mind that I don't need to play the next AAAA game coming out next summer...just NBA 2k15...because sports.

So I'm open to suggestions.

If you're buying something solely for 1 game I'd say get Xbox 360 because it's the cheapest option.

Brand new from Amazon for 180$ - I don't think you can buy laptop or build gaming PC that is stronger and cheaper.

I already got the Xbox 360, lol.

Luckily I read the GS review and it revealed that some of the game modes I was most looking forward to are only available to PS4/Xbox1/PC.

So yeah, I either need the next gen console or a PC capable of running the game.

You cant really upgrade the GPU in laptops, you stuck with what you got and its unlikely to be able to play that game.

Your options are Ps4 or x1, if your only interested in that game than which ever is the cheapest deal is the one to go for.

I would just grab a PS4 or XB1 if that's all you're really wanting to play. Forget the specs and just grab the one that most of your friends have.

Oh ok, well my asnwer is still brand new console, Unless you want to play it at a special resolution like 4K or 3x 1440p monitors.

Yeah the console is the way to go for just 1 game. Also if you ever want to get something like Madden, that has not been on the PC for years...

I wish people would stop linking that misleading site. True, OP cant run the game, but that site has told my high end PCs it couldnt run games because it fails to account for important architecture in hardware and only reads raw numbers

@wis3boi: It's a lot better than it used to be.
