But Skyrim with mods is just...it's just...it's tits, gentlemen.

Playing it on console just doesn't compare, and I've been primarily a console gamer until recently (the past 7-8 months).

Can't wait to pick up a copy of Morrowind and truly experience the game, for what will seemingly be, the first time.

If this is what the future holds, then goddamn I can't wait for Fallout 4/TES VI.

I can't even express the emotions.

This is making me scratch my head as to why I didn't go PC earlier (waaaayyyyy earlier).

I'm currently playing on an outdated AMD Radeon 4850. And that actually surprises the hell out of me (didn't even know Skyrim would work, much less be able to support an assortment of mods, on high settings none the less).

With about 8 mods active (including overhauled enhanced lighting, which makes dungeons and ruins a blast, BTW).

Can't wait until I upgrade to the i5 4670k and AMD Radeon 7970 in two weeks!!

I'll still buy me a PS4 in 6-8 months strictly for exclusives, but good God...can't believe I waited this long for PC gaming.

Hahaha that is my mentality as well! PC gaming is the best way to do it, especially if you are wanting more variety and flexibility in your games. And color me jealous about that graphics card! I would upgrade, but I run everything on max atm and have no money. :P

I've had a couple of buddies tell me that the 7970 is more than what I would probably need (some have said the 7850 is more than enough for running the vast majority of games at max settings on a single monitor at 1080p and at least 60 FPS) but I already bought the wife something good on Black Friday and bought the kids Christmas presents so I had the exposable income and figured why not? Haha, early Christmas present for me.

Still have only played the game vanilla. Maybe I'll go back with mods after my backlog is empty (i.e. never). Oh the woes of being a PC gamer. :P

The only Skyrim mod I've got is the HD texture pack. WHAT OTHERS ARE THERE?!?!….Im another one thats obviously not in the know!

@overhead_drums: Just look in steam workshop. Sort by top rated or most downloads and see what you like the look of.

Steam workshop makes the whole process incredibly easy with one-click installation and uninstallation.

@kraken2109: Cool, are there other graphic enhancing ones apart from the texture pack one?

Im at work at the minute so I can't have a peek.

Here are the texture/mesh mods that I'm using. The Texture Pack Combiner can be a pain to download and install if you get the optional files, but it's well worth it. The game looks ridiculously good afterwards. Get the main files at the very least (The Skyrim Realistic Overhaul must be downloaded outside of Nexus). Be sure to get Project ENB, too...
