Well I went to NCIX and configured it with a X2 3800+ (which is dual 1.8Ghz) and it came out to 1497. with the 146... That is a good chip for overclocking....

you might want your system built for your right? because you said your not all that techy. then go with alienware, that other custom computer company, or ebay. heads up, any amd with at least 2.00 ghrtz kills very greatly in gaming=meaning its very good. thats just the truth.

when you change settings with a program to enhance your system, or to make it run faster. it makes things hotter, because its not meant to run at other "settings" with that cooler. make sure you have at least 2 other fans in your system. because hot heat sucks di**

Dont buy something like alienware because they rip you off like my pc is around 800 bucks more from a cheap prebuilt place fans are a nice things to have, except for the standard cpu and graphics card fan i have 3 case fans running at all the time and i can put more on Overclocking is changing the settings so the thing which u changed runs faster, like my 2.0 ghz amd i put up to 2.6 ghz which is ewual to a 4.1 intel.

Well I would die if I could not overclock my computer. But for you... I'd just get it without and if you learn about overclocking at someplace like the Overclocking Union and want to fiddle with it later they can help you pick parts that will keep that baby cool. Oh and the Opteron is a good choice for overclocking...

Hell yah, or atleast take it down to the neighborhood computer shop and tell them to do it, but really just learn it's easy.
