Ok, the title basically says it all. I have the latest patch but the animations by the NPC is choppy. The game itself runs smoothly, I myself have no hiccups or low framerate but the enemies and my allies have a rather choppy animation for an unknown reason. Also my weapon has a choppy animation too like when I move it or when I reload. The game itself runs smoothly but the weapon and NPC animations are really weird.

Any solutions?

AMD 64 3000+

1GB ram

6600GT 128MB

I know Halo is a badly optimized game but the settings I have is decent enough to run everything on high.

Maybe it isn't so badly optimized compared to other games that we get from Ubiport but it sure hell was when it was released on the PC. Don't even argue with me.

It's off. My framerate is 60-80 but the animations are still kinda choppy. It doesn't bother me when the action is going on but still it would be nice to get rid of it.

I have an Athlon 3800 and 2 6800 ultras and I get choppy animations too. As for the gun animations, I've sat farther away from my monitor and didnt notice them, I guess it's just cause its a port from the xbox version. The choppy NPC animations are really annoying though.

No, no, no, no, no.

Player animations are capped at 30fps no matter what, so even if you're playing at 150fps, the character animations are still going to look choppy.  I have the game, and this was the first thing I noticed.

Just to reitterate.

I just reinstalled Halo: CE and even in the scenes where I was getting 450+fps, the player animations are still choppy. :P

30 can seem very choppy when compared to 60+. 30 is playable, but not exactly smooth in a FPS game.

You never played at 60+fps before?

Things get choppy around 50fps if there is no motion blur.

Just play it and you'll see. You can clearly see that the NPC's are skipping their animation when they are moving.

Weird I got like 500 fps on that game and animations were terrible, I had to cap them at 30 and then it looked normal.

Then they're not at 30fps.Â
