The highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto V, is coming on PC this April 14 2015, and it’s promising an amazing game experience played at 60 fps with 1080p or 4K Resolution. According to PCgamers hands on review, the 60 fps “makes a hell of difference to the game”, and the 4K resolution “brings an incredible amount of additional clarity to the world”, according to IGN reviews.

So what are the recommended hardware settings to get the best gaming experience out of this game?

Rockstart suggest, as a recommended requirement, the NVIDIA GTX 660 with 2GB of VRAM or the AMD HD 7870 with 2GB. But that’s if you want to play with a 1080p resolution at 60 fps. However if you want to play at 4K resolution, then you would need at least the NVIDIA GTX 760 or the AMD HD 7870, but you would only be able to play at 30 fps. To be able to play the game with 4K resolution at 60 fps, Rockstar suggest to use more than one high end GPU with SLI or crossfire setup.

Of course you are not limited to those suggested graphic card, and since GTA 5 for PC graphic settings are highly customizable, a better GPU would convert to better graphics. Based on the game developer recommendations and the large variety of video cards, we have come with a list of video cards suitable to run the game with with 1080p resolution or 4K resolution, and at frame rate of 30 fps or 60 fps.
