Good, Free, Co-Op Survival Horror Game/Mod?

I'm looking for a really scary, free, co-op survival horror game for me and a friend of mine to play. Any suggestions? I looked on ModDB,  but I wasn't able to find any free ones. I saw a mod for Gary's Mod that looked pretty awesome, called Death of the Dream 2. Anything like that?

Not a whole lot of free co-op horror games out there...

Have you tried Zombie Panic: Source? Multiplayer Source mod and it's probably as close as you're gonna get to survival horror.

Try Alien Swarm its free on Steam. Not much survival horror but its good fun with a few friends and costs just £0.00.

System Shock 2 is great in COOP. Not free but its worth the $10 at GOG.

No More Room in Hell is very good apparently. Haven't tried it myself yet.

Resident Evil: Outbreak was probably the best horror co-op i've ever seen. Number 1 AND 2.  It's scarey, retro, and still incredibly fun. 
The game was only made for the PS2, but sadly the servers for the game have been shut down. I've heard there are still private servers that you can still join though if you look hard enough.

Free? Yes. It's now a free standalone game that you can get from Steam

Scary? It is a survival horror game.

Co-op? Yes, the official forums are inundated with co-op posts
