I'm using MSI Afterburner to record gameplay, and I was wondering what should I set the recording quality too? I have it set to about 85% and roughly 20 minutes of gameplay eats up about 3 gigs worth of space, is this normal, or should i lower the quality a smidge so I can upload it within a reasonable time?

I'm guessing you're using MJPG compression. It depends, generally for 1080p, 50Mbps is good, but if you want to save space you can go down to 30Mbps. Just watch what % quality level gives you that bitrate. IIRC below 70% looked bad for me.

But I no longer use MJPG, I use QuickSync. You can also try x264vfw it's very efficient and decent quality.
