Far Cry 2 DX10?

Hi. I have finally got my dvd to work for Farcry 2 as it was loading up blank but after 2 days of trying it showed up and installed. Is there a DirectX 10 fix as when I put it in direct X 10 mode the refresh rate changes to 24hz and not 60. Direct 9 is ok. Also was this a bug. when I first got FarCry 2 on release day I tried it many times but at the beginning when walking in the forest a jeep use to roam up and down killing me straight away. This was one of the reasons I gave up until now and try it again. At the same point there is no jeep there now so was this a bug back in the day?.
