Assetto Corsa, waiting for Project Cars!

I haven't played Assetto Corsa and I thought I was getting Project Cars next month but because of the delay that has to wait. So I was wondering if anyone here could tell me if Assetto Corsa will pass the time until Project Cars releases? Is it a comparable game?

downloaded the early acess on a website i cant mention and it was bugged beyond playable.

Project Cars is considered an arcade racer comparing it to Assetto Corsa.

Assesto Corsa is an excellent racing sim, probably one of the best I've played
