So I have a 560ti and recently came into some money so I want to upgrade my graphics card. Iwas looking at both cards and they seem pretty close and benchmarks are close to for the games I play. How ever I'm wondering if i throw down an extra hundred and get the 680 the card will last me longer. Is there that mucha difference in the GPU tech between both to make one last longer in the run gaming wise? Thanks!

I can't really speak for the 680 but I can tell you that the 670 that I picked up (evga FTW) has been abstolutely rock solid since I've got it. Never gets hot, and every game I have it consistently puts out buttery smooth gaming at 1080p with all settings usually at max (only exception still being ARMA 2). I know that it's a great card, and if you have a system wheree you can SLI you'd always have that option down the road of course.

I'm sure the 680 is also a good card but I'm not so sure if it's worth that extra bill.

You should probably refer to this, it explains it far better than I ever could.

670 is better value for money.

Personally I'd go for an AMD card, but buy whichever you prefer.

between those two, id say 670. But the 7970 is the best option all in all.

I might have said this before but my take is that as the drivers Mature the gap between the 670 and 680 will Increase. Ergo the 680 will prevail.

The GTX 670 is the best value for your money and it's very powerful. I can max almost all games on that card.

I'd avoid AMD cards... like what some people here suggested. It's just personal preference, obviously but if you want a peace of mind knowing that your hardware and drivers works flawlessly over the long term, I would recommend Nvidia.

u mean like how the gtx 550ti has a civ 5 memory leak?

nvidia is jsut as guilty as amd for dumping last gen cards in the dumpster support wise once a new lineup is out.

670 is fine since it turbos more than the 680. If you plan to oc, the 680 will do better. My 670 oc'z a lot too.
