Powercolor 5770 512mb 150 after tax and shipping. Is either that 4770, Im trying to save moolah, so lean on that more for me. :P

I run at 1680x1050 If I get this it would have to last a year or so.

1gb or 512... Tough choice.

I run that resolution w/ a 5770 1gb and 512mb 5770 will probably still kill a 4770 althought 512 is meh.

The 512mb version will struggle at that resolution with high end games. Well at least if you want high quality.

I got the SAPPHIRE 100283L Radeon HD 5770 (Juniper XT) 1GB last week. It was my first build and I'm really liking it. I run my computer at 1920 x 1080 and use an HDMI cord. The most graphic intensive game I have tried so far is Oblivion, and that runs great at max settings.

My first 5770 1Gb failed early on but the replacement works fine. You should be able to get it for less than $160 now.

Less than 160? Where dat, used? Yeah I am still leaning on that powercolor b.c after promo is $130 which matches 5750, of course still beats it with less ram, or should I just save my money and get a 4850/4770 and get something nicer later on.

Isn't the 4870 a better suggestion. Don't know if dx11 is worthwhile. Think about it, new dx versions is the best way ATI/nVidia can shift cards forcing people to upgrade, especially at a time like this where 4870 has been great for a year or two, and will be great for another year or two.

~edit~ its probs quite hard of a choice, I remember like around August it was much more clear. If you had £80, get a 4850. If you had £110, a 4870. Now its a lot harder with the dx11 cards.

I think I've seen a lot of people go for that card, so yes.

I agree, it's a tough choice. The 4870 and the 5770 are about the same price point but obviously 5770 supports DX11. All other things being equal, I'd go with the 5770 just for that reason but I'm no expert on judging GPUs.
