This is probably one of the most annoying things in the world (within the last 10 minutes). Is there a way to turn it off? I'm using Chrome. I've tried 3 different extensions which claimed to stop YT from autoplaying videos, but none worked. This is problematic for me because I'm always surfing 20+ tabs and whenever I have to bring my tabs back up, I have to manually pause a dozen videos, and it's annoying.

No, that's a feature where another video plays after the one you're watching finishes. I just want it so that whenever I go to watch a Youtube video, it doesn't start playing before I click "Play".

Did youtube change recently? I've never had that problem. As for autoplay next clip, there is/should be a clickable thing on the right side beneath the video. At the top of other video's list.

Edit: Ah so it has changed... This is... annoying.
