Need help sound nother working.

So my rig is

a z170 motherboard

I7 6700

Gtx 1080

32gb ram

Basically the sound is running through the hdmi on the gtx 1080 which is hooked up to my Sony 4k tv, yesterday it was fine. Today I've turned it on and absolutely no sound, I've changed nothing and I've checked everything and it seems to register that sound is being used with no errors, everything seems fine. The TV is producing sound on its own and I can get sound if I hook up stereo through the headphone jack. Is there anything I'm missing?? Thanks for the help.

Have you went to your audio settings and make sure it putting it out through the speakers instead of headphones, etc.
