I always preferred guys who could "work" rather than guys with character.
Brian Danielson is a worker, but he is ruined by the spot fest wrestling of todays product.
Also in before Wrestling is fake herp derp by some pussy
@lucianocasanova:
Why you keep creating wrestling threads?
@Nuck81:"I always preferred guys who could "work" rather than guys with character."
That's an interesting viewpoint. But are you saying a Stone Cold and Rock aren't good in ring performers?
Not at all. But they are not among my favorites.
And there is a huge difference between being an Technician and an in Ring Performer.
Mick Foley is one of the best In Ring Performers of all time. But even he admits he is no technician
As far as the pantomime story-lines go, I liked Kane. He has a build up in the background hinted a before making his big entrance (ripping a cage door open) if memory serve). It was pretty memorable.
Like Celldrax kinda lost interest over the years.
Hogan turning heel is the greatest move I have ever seen and the Sting/Hogan storing is perhaps the single greatest storyline in American Wrestling (up until the horrible Hogan/Sting match).
As a big fan of guys who use steroids, cover themselves in baby oil, and pretend to beat each other up while wearing a Speedo, my favorite pro wrestler is David Arquette when he won the WCW title and the WWE heavyweight title.
Bobby Roode (TNA) - He plays an excellent heel role, in his original world title run which was the longest in TNA history he held the belt for 256 days.
A few years later he regained the title in 2014 as a face, and he put on some fantastic matches Vs Lashely.
He has the look of a champion, quality in ring skill and has lots of charisma and showmanship with the mic.
To me he is the perfect pro wrestler.
Other wrestlers I really liked when they were active, or still like today
The Rock(WWE) - Back in early 2000s he was WWE, so entertaining to watch.
Sting (WCW, TNA) - Brilliant professional, an all rounder I watched him when I was a kid on Monday Nitro and as an adult in TNA.
Goldberg (WCW, WWW) - He wasn't a good wrestler, but his original title run in WCW was one of the most exciting times in wrestling, they done a good job of making him seem invincible. As a child I thought he was the toughest person in the world. A shame they ended his streak like they did.
Bully Ray (ECW, WWE, TNA) - Part of the best tag team of all time, and had a sucessfull year or 2 of main eventing for TNA holding the TNA world title, one of the best heels in the business. Also he put dixie carter through a table.

What's a perfect wrestler?
@davillain-:
lol, that was funny stuff with Booker T. Good times.
.@Nuck81:"And there is a huge difference between being an Technician and an in Ring Performer."
In your own words, what would you say is technican?
Bobby Roode, Eric Young, Aj Styles, Austin Aries, Kurt Angle, Loki, Team 3D, The Wolves, Drew Galloway, Kenny King, Sting, Hardys, Edge and Christian, Gail Kim, Lita, Awesome Kong, The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Taz, Chris Daniels, Frankie Kazarian, James Storm, Abyss, Mick Foley, Manik and Magnus.
There is a long list of wrestlers I like but here's a sample.

someone who excels in all areas
In Ring
The Look
Mic Skills
Charisma, ability to be a face or heel.
Etc.
@thehig1: "Mic Skills , ability to be a face or heel."
Not sure about mic skills or face.
When he turned face I nearly had a baby, and I'm a guy. He was an awesome as a face. Wish his second title run was longer.
I think he sounds great on the Mic
All about opinion anyway and Bobby Roode is the wrestler I've enjoyed watching the most out of anyone.
Eddie Guerrero, Tito Santana, Hulk Hogan, Jake the snake Roberts, Randy Macho Man, The junk yard dog, Ricky the dragon steamboat, The Undertaker, Bret Hart, Hack Saw Jim Dugon, Andrea the Giant, and so many more. These were in my days, some a little before, but they rocked. I bet most of you don't even know who they are, lol ..
Love the heels! The American Blueblood Hunter Hearst Helmsley, OG Golddust, Undertaker, Honky Tonk Man, Vader, and Andre the Giant.
People love the faces, but without the heels, you'll have no reason to cheer for them.
But my latest favorite is Bray Wyatt. He has potential.
George "The Animal" Steele
oh man I remember that dude
Hell yeah, he used to eat the ring corners, lol .. It would fall all over, and he'd make a mess. Crazy Animal ! Lol .. How about that Hack Saw Jim Dugan with his 2x4, he'd knock you out. At first he hit hard, i believe someone got seriously injured. So he had to stop, then he was hitting peeps like a girl. Brutus the barber beef cake, who cut your hair, lol .. Went in with hair, came out with the worst haricut ever, lol .. WWF were the good days. I watch it here and there now, but its never going to be as glorious as the good old days.
