I've just seen Book of Eli and I found the plot twist at the end very absurd.
how can it be possible that denzel is blind when he knew where things were and he simply grabbed them?. It doesn't make sense how he knew where he was going when he was on that small boat, how he could kill about 20 guys without knowing where they were, or how he easily stretch his hand and grab the shoes of a dead man when he found him in a room. My best guess is that he was a bat and had a sonar or something cause the whole movie just didn't make sense.
So what was the worst plot twist you have seen in a movie? :D

The movie where they live in an old town and they can't have the color red or those things come out. Wow, did that twist piss me off.

The man behind those pieces of crap should start making better movies or he will probably dissapear someday. Nobody takes him seriously these days.

I recall this movie called Identity that came out a while back.

Edit: wow, I'm surprised other people still remember Identity. But yeah, that was a horrible plot twist.

AtlanticRock

I actually liked that twist despite the plot holes, but I hated the happy ending. It felt so thrown in at the last minute. Here are some even worst plot twists.

1. High Tension

This film was actually pretty good, but my god the ending is so bad. it makes no damn sense. The ending was even worst than the ending of Identity.

2. The Forgotten

3. Signs

4. Boxing Helena

What a lazy ending. This pissed me off because I thought the film being crap would be redeemed by an interesting ending. How wrong I was.

5. The Game

Good film but the ending was just ridiculous. Then again the whole film is filled with coincidences so I can understand why the ending was ridiculous.

6. Color of night

7. Planet of the apes 2001

Tim Burton really messed this ending up. I see what he was trying to do, but it just turned out stupid.

8. Contact

9. Reindeer games

10. The Number 23

M night has gotten so bad. The man had one of the most solid twists ever with 6th sense but then unforgivable ones like the village.

It just felt very unimaginative. It worked in the film and it didnt bring up tons of plot holes like High Tension did, but it just felt a bit anti climactic.

Seriously. People need to cool it with the hatred. How about most action thrillers like Shooter or Hitman? But not the Village or Signs. They weren't that bad.

You think that's unimaginative? :? The point of a plot twist is to surprise the audience; it's unexpected. I thought The Number 23 was very imaginative and surprising. As a twist ending, it was quite successful.

The Village was mainly just mocking legalism. I live in an area where there are many legalistic churches and schools, so I guess I just liked it for that reason. And I loved Signs. In fact I think I'm gonna watch it tonight. :P

The Village had a terrible twist. It wasn't his worst twist (that one goes to The Happening, followed by The Sixth Sense), but it was still reallybad.

I'm gonna have to disagree, but it's probably because of what I stated earlier. I liked it because of the point he was trying to make. But in terms of it being predictable, then yeah, I'd agree it was terrible.

The Happening doesn't even have a twist. There's no leading you in one direction before yanking you in another direction with a dramatic reveal of all the hints and clues you missed or anything, it's just "Hey, what's killing people?" "It's the plants that are killing people" "Oh, okay, that's stupid"
