I generally do not see more than one bad movie a year because I tend to follow critic reviews (to save money, time, patience). I decided to go against my protocol in hoping "Battle:LA" would be good despite the reviews. BIG mistake, easily one of the worst movies I have seen in years, I could even put it with Transformers 2. Nothing interesting ever happened (other than a lot of laughable dialog), the aliens looked stupid, their weapons were stupid, their mother ship of floating garbage was stupid. I have no idea why Aaron Eckhart signed on to it.

I'd have to go with Three Musketeers. It was decent enough but I haven't seen many this year.

I didn't go to the cinema much this year, I guess nothing made me really want to go. I saw In Time recently and wasn't very impressed.

Super 8 and Pirates 4 are tied. I think I rolled my eyes more during these two movies than the rest of the year combined.

I thought Limitless and Thor were both quite poor. Kenneth Branagh should stick with Shakespeare, because thats what he does best.

I can usually sense when a movie is going to be bad. Even after watching the great Battle:LA trailer I knew the actual film wasn't going to be good. I'm not willing to pay to watch a film that I'm not sure will be good.

I am the same way, and I knew from the trailer it wasnt going to be good by any means. I was hoping for some solid action sequences sprinkled in but nothing could prepare me for how bad it really was.

I watched part of a movie called "Cursed" last night with that kid from the facebook movie and forehead ricci. Let me tell you, Twilight not only looks like a cinematic masterpiece now, but also extremely heterosexual and not fruity-gay at all.

Black Swan. What a confusing cluster**** of a movie. I mean of course the only reason any of us watched it was for the adorable tender romance scenes but the story was confusing and I had no idea what was going on or why anything was happening.

I thought it was just a flat-out bad film, not just for the reasons you stated. Not even Natalie Portman's acting could save that film.

'Hall Pass' which was one of the more idiotic and immature comedy films to be released in recent years that delivered no laughs and had two of the most unlikable and unrealistic characters in since 'Due Date' last year.

'Battle: Los Angeles' is up there too but no matter how crappy it may be at times I still think as a bare-boned, completely mindless and at times terribly idiotic almost B-film like action film it delivers enough entertainment value as an overlong commercial for the Marines with an overdose of testosterone and adrenaline, with enough eye candy and unintentional laughs to make me not hate it.

Are we talking about movies that came out this year or movies in general? This year, I've only seen Rise planet of the apes, Swordsman (Foreign film with Donnie Yen), and I am number 4. Between those, I am number 4 is easily the worst movie I seen that came out in 2011. The movie definitely wasn't bad to me though... If we're talking in general, I watched The Mist remake again and remembered why I hate the film so much...

Stuff kept happening and I had no idea whether it was real or her hallucinating or how it could possibly have happened. At the end having seen it all I can think back and understand it but at the time it made no sense whatsoever

In the theatre: Dream House (2011) was probably the most poorly executed film I watched at a threatre this year but sadly this was due to studio shenanigans and not the fault of the director, writer, nor the actors as they proudly refused to promote the horrific creature their film had been turned into.

Home viewing: Almighty Thor (2011) is a fairly easy pick although I watch so many bad new release DVD or SyFy channel premiere films in a given year that it would actually take me a while to sit down and sort through the massive pile of crap to arrange them in any sort of order. But off the top of my head Thor was especially incompetent in just about every aspect one could imagine and a rather painful thing to endure.

Killer Elite

Straw Dogs

Green Lantern

Shark Night

Of all the movies I have seen this year they were the worse in my opinion.

Battle LA was so bad that I completely forgot it existed until I clicked on this thread.

I've also grown to dislike Thor more and more after seeing it and really wish I could forget about it at this point.

Don't know when it came out exactly, but the movie Red State was absolutely putrid. You'd think a movie about a crazy right-wing christian group would be entertaining, right? Not when all the movie consists of dry-as-paint sermons and really preachy left-wing sentiments.

The Roommate, Don't Be Afraid of the Dark, Dream House, and Drive were all pretty bad.
