Why do the mods here allow spam?

They shut down somewhat legit threads, but then let all these spam/advertising accounts run wild

what gives?

@mingmao3046: Some mods only do reports and if people report some of those "semi-legitimate" threads and not the spam then mods won't see those =)

I don't know. There's a lot of mods on this site, so you'd think there'd be at least one on each forum at all times. I'm gonna go with "negligence".

It's fairly easy to just ignore them, the titles are hardly disguised well.

Well, the mods do have lives outside of the site. If the problem gets bad, you can always send a PM and let the team know. Simply making a thread to complain about the problem isn't helping anyone.
