Why do people care so much about what others think of them?

At the end up the day.. You're alone.. a body made up of cells.. unsure why were are here.. It's subjective. People happy you're alive. You could have been a fish. Yet you are concerened how you look. You could have cancer, yet you are concerned about the girl that doesn't like you. Walk.. walk through a forest red eyed. Accept nature.. Live it.. Looks towards the sky.. Reach towards those plantets as close as you can. You might not really reach them, but have that wonder.

people generally want to be liked by other people. say if your popular, you wouldnt want to be seen with a "loser" as that would ruin your image.

it sucks. took me pretty much til about half a year after High School to finally become confortable with myself and not care anymore.

I was the kid you either liked or feared. I did some crazy stupid shit and there were rumors I did even crazier shit.

I most certainly entertained those rumors to the best of my ability. :D

It matters because fitting into society is pretty important. That's the truth. 

For some reason, before I thought about how life is, I mean how life REALLY is. Like you said, we are just made up of cells, nature is great, life is short, why care what people think of us? For the most part, I stopped giving a damn. I'm comfortable with me, one day I will die so, I might as well not give a flip what other people think of me. Plus, I keep my body in shape and feel strong. Why would I ever want to be anyone else or give a damn what they think these days?

The older you get, the more you start to realize...things.

Yeah it's so weak minded, im sure that's exactly what employers think when some guy who stinks like he hasn't taken a shower in two weeks and is wearing jeans really believe while they are interviewing him for a job.

You can deny it all you want, but fitting in matters in the long run. You don't want to find out the hard way.

What other people think of you is very important for everything in life. If others think negatively of you it limits your job opportunities, personal relationship opportunities, enjoyment opportunities, and so on. That's not to say that you should care what jerks think of you, but you can't act like a jerk your self because you don't care what others think of you. WickedChainy
