I come here every so often. I hate getting mistaken for a guy on gamespot. Then when I put that I'm a girl in my sig, I get a ton of friend requests, so I take it out.... and then people think I'm a guy again. It's an irritating cycle.

The funny fails. There are a couple girls around here.. ayanami rei is probably the most known one.. There's a ton of users that you might just not know are girls but it says in their profiles or something, too.
There are lots of users that are female on this site. It's not like they are going to say, "I'm a woman," in every post. Just because it seems like it's all guys, doesn't mean that's the case.
Because very few girls like videogames. And even fewer like browsing on videogame forums. But there are other types of furums that appeal more to girls than guys and therefore have a bigger ratio of girls to guys.

Well with my experiences with xbox live, I'd have to disagree. Lots of girls play games. For example, Call of Duty 3 has lots of girls playing it.

Well, good thing I didn't take it too far and call you gay...like somebody else here... Meh, wouldn't bother me much if you did :P (I'm not actually gay by the way, just the fact that i know I'm not).
Nintendo is trying to change it though. But if Miyamoto-san's wife is any indication then we're still a long way from having a balanced ratio of guys to girls in the videogames industry.
