Nirvana too!QW-34Nirvana?! Holy crap. It seems all (ok most) 3 person bands are just blessed by God or something.
[QUOTE="freakyzeeky1986"][QUOTE="bluezy"]And a bad one: Green Day.bluezyBeat you to it!! :PYeah, yeah:x
Green Day was a great band back in their punk days. I think it's about time they became famous and started earning some real moonies. Though I don't really enjoy their music as much anymore, they do deserve it.
Not a single mention of Primus so far? Hmph!
Anyway, there's no sort of universal correlation between the number of band members and the quality of music. A band or solo artist should use as many or few people as it takes to make it sound good. As long as there aren't so few musicians that live performances sound unbearably strained, or so many unnecessary studio hires that it ends up sounding bloated and pretentious, I'm all for it.
And a bad one: Green Day.bluezywell they never sounded bad before, but since 1997 they had extra band members to improve their live sound
I believe the term is "Power Trio" and my favorite would have to be ZZ Top.GreenmonsterBLSFinally, somebody lists ZZ Top. These guys rock pure and simple.
I'm glad someone said primus :P
Nile is a pretty good 3 piece band that I like.
But just because a band has 3 people doesn't make them any better than any other.
The Jimi Hendrix Experience.TheWindWaker11
thank you :) I was hoping someone was going to mentoon them, whoa re pretty much the greatest band after Iron Maiden :)
[QUOTE="Guitargod00"]cream, motorhead, genesis (not counting studio musicians), you guys named all the other good ones.Dethshoot

My thoughts exactly. I love their older albums, and American Idiot isn't as good as it could have been, but they've worked hard. They deserve it.
Muse, Wolfmother, and Rush. 3 of my favorite bands and they all have 3 people in them. What's up with that? Also name some more.madcapper248
