If you are, please tell me why and your fave part of history.

Like I myself like the Classical ages aka Romans, Greeks and one of my fave things to learn about is the Roman conquest of Britain.

And If you are not tell us why. Eg I hate history it is boring because...

Ah same here. I love learning about ancient armies and even modern armys. But the problem for me is the military history is changing. I love sword fighting and muskets in comparison to machine guns and missles. That is why I do not like to learn about the Gilf war etc, to many guns and missles and stuff.

U.S. History without a doubt. In fact, I took the SAT Subject Test for it today.

World War II is also my favorite probably because it portrayed the dangerous potential of humanity.

Yea i enjoy history, like watching the documentaries on Military thoroughout history but in terms of studying history i enjoy the history of my own country an awful lot. Irish history from the War of independence, the partition, Civil war, Troubles as it is very interesting to know how your country was shaped :)

I like it because I get to learn about my culture as well as the history of the country. I also find Chicano history interesting. I think my favorite historical period was American Western Expansion since the history involves so many different cultures.

I agree. Irish history is very interesting, as they have usually been treated unfairly by the English. And they have many legends and myths.

I love history, at least up until the end of WWII. Ancient Rome (especially from the perspective of contemporary historians like Tacitus and Suetonius), pre-Meiji Japan, Russia, and Reformation-era Europe are especially interesting. I'm reading Lord Acton's history lectures right now, and I'm getting more out of it than I ever got from school.

Yes. I am interested in that as well. In the expansion did the Americans not promise the Native indians the land over the Missisipi river. Then they broke their promise and threw the indians out?.

Something like that, I think this quote by Sioux Chief Red Cloud pretty much sums up the relationship between the American Government and indigenous tribes:

"They made us many promises, more than I can remember, but they kept only one; they promised to take our land, and they did."

Same here, specifically World War Two and the Vietnam War. Military History is just really interesting to me, as it shows so many different things, like how ruthless humaity can be, to how selfless and courageous we can be too. I really like learning about the differnet weapons, battles, and strategy used also.

I study in history (well to become a history teacher in high school) so I'm VERY interested in history.

Latin America history, US history, biblical history, decolonization, 20th century. Well a bit of everything.

I am currently not in school right now and will probably finish online with a business degree but that's purely career choice i still love history just decided i really didnt want to teach
