@Maroxad: Hillary's lead has been cut in half according to CNN. That was as of yesterday.
Angela Merkel has ruined Germany and Hillary wants to do virtually the same thing with the US. (But why learn from others mistakes let's try it ourselves like it's somehow going to be better). Brexit just started nobody said it would be easy but it's happening for a reason and I don't blame them.
Meanwhile the fact you think the LGBT community are treated like second class citizens shows my point. Constant victim complex from the far left.
And somehow acknowledging most media outlets are extremely left wing is being a victim? So tell me.. do you think CNN and MSNBC are objective media outlets? Do you believe colleges don't lean to the far left? Those are factual observations nobody is claiming to be a victim unless your the poor bastard who lost his job at Mizzou over a poop swastika for no reason.
How did I miss this gold nugget. At the time of posting this, Hillary's lead is NOT cut in half. Using one poll as opposed to the aggregrate is delusional, and while Trump had the lead in that one poll, guess who leads in the rest?
Angela Merkel ruined germany? Last I checked, Germany is still a highly wealthy state, and its GDP per Capita has still been growing. Usually major political events enter a period of a political honeymoon. This didnt. Brexit was a disaster, and world leaders worldwide, academics and intellectuals have been warning against the consequences. Face it, Brexit is a sinking ship. And the fact that the Brexit leaders had to lie to get their point across shows how dishonest they were.
But the LGBT community were. With politicians trying to pass bills preventing them from entering their bathroom of choice, preventing them from joining the military, and denying them their right to get married is treating them like second class citizens. While they no longer are second class citizens in the US, they are treated like second class citizens elsewhere, where they may get murdered or executed by an overly religious government.
You have no basis on most media outlets being far left. The fact is, CNN aint objective but it doesnt suffer from far leftism, instead CNN suffers from neutrality complex. CNN have been very kind to Hillary, but she is an obvious centrist. Look at how the news media treated an actual far left candidate like Bernie Sanders. They were trying to smear him at every opportunity, trying to bring down his reputation for absolutely childish reasons like being an atheist (how dare he). Now, while you used 2 anecdotes (of which one is completely false), look at how much Hillary gets bashed for childish issues like her health. Compare this to trump who has been given the kid's gloves by the media. Why is it that I often have to look in academic journals or the new media to find legimate criticism of Trump? Why is it so rare for the media to look at trump's financial policies and tell how they wont work and will plunge the country in a much greater debt than the entire world. As for the academia, there is no denial that the majority of academics are liberal, but there is a good reason for that, the majority of the intellectual community is liberal, no conspiracy here.
In fact, the left academics can easily be explained.
- The more educated a person becomes, the more the person has to think. Universities especially Ph.Ds require critical thinking skills to survive. The better your critical thinking skills, the less of a grasp dogmatic concepts, such as authoritarianism and tradition will have on you. Traditional values are getting weeded out by society, because a lot of them lack merit and dont stand up to scrutiny.
- Right wingers are more likely to go after high salaries and private institutions as opposed to worse paying public institutes. A lot of these people do have the advancement to move up to private institutes, but they dont, because in government buildings they have greater academic freedom.
- Many professors and teachers are union employees as well as government workers. Who naturally have a greater affinity for economic left wing ideals.
- Highest quintile intelligence is strongly associated with prosocial beliefs and left leaining ideals. It is no coincidence that liberals dominate the educated and the high IQ demographics. This is not exclusive to the US either, and is a worldwide phenomenon. Since the highest quintile intelligence is EXTREMELY common amongst academics, its no surprise that when a majority group of the people who get in happen to be liberal. Hell, this is probably why the Ivy League has an even greater ammount of liberals than even the rest of the universities.
Likewise, there is no conspiracy either that the majority of police officers and people in the military are conservative.
Stay delusional. Everything that isn't far right to you is left wing (hence why you errendously called CNN far left wing). I have seen this fallacious thinking before, and it is pretty common amongst the alt right and far right.
