I haven't yet but I'm thinking 🤔 about it.
Actually can't remember. Do remember it being abit of a craze back then, done 4-5 of them.
Pretty sure one of them was Pillars Of Eternity.
I haven’t backed any. A couple board games have caught my eye but not enough to commit to spending money.
I've backed four:
1. The Veronica Mars Movie
2. The Horizon Zero Dawn Board Game
3. Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes (I loved Suikoden)
4. Surprise! Four Secret Novels by Brandon Sanderson
I'd probably take back the Horizon Zero Dawn Board Game if I could. They've just been sitting on the shelf. Feel pretty good about most of them though.
I've backed Star Citizen, (can't really complained about it as I'm able to access playing the game) Mighty No. 9, and R-Type: Final 2. While Star Citizen is a touchy subject, there's no guarantee it will deliver on its kickstarter but, as long as your still getting notifications, emails, the game you pledge is still alive and not a scam when you think about it.
The other 2 I've back paid off...especially R-Type Final 2. Mighty No. 9 had problems but the game was alright. Now that I think about it, I need to replay it.

Kickstarters definitely isn’t for everyone. Kickstarter does tell people up front that you are not guaranteed to get whatever product you’re backing of, and if you do, do it with enough research on the company/person you are backing up to. Get every bit of details if you are okay with the risks. Be aware most don't offer refunds. It’s more like a donation with a non-binding promise from the creators so yeah, whatever you decide, good luck.
I put $750 on H-Hour Worlds Elite and even became the lead mod on their forums... never even played the game in full capacity and it never made it to console. I was hand picked by David Sears and asked to lead the mod team... I couldn't say no to the creative director of my favorite online franchise of all time SOCOM.
H-Hour was a spiritual successor to SOCOM 1 and 2... it's a shame the money dried up, Sears moved on, and I gave up... sigh.
I still have hope that one day SONY will revive SOCOM and might even rebuild the Zipper or Slant 6 team. I want a new SOCOM, however it needs to be like the first 2 or Confrontation and nothing like 4.
For anyone interested you can get the game on Steam and there are alot of classic SOCOM maps, but I have no idea if anyone is still playing.
None. Make a good finished game and I'll buy it. Don't want to pay for ideas and wishes.
Plus, most games coming out of kickstarter are bad, in my experience.
Mighty No. 9, Bloodstained, Shenmue 3, Yooka-Laylee.. Those are some of the more popular ones, and they're totally meh. Was very close to backing Mighty No. 9 back then as I love Mega Man, but it was lucky that I didn't, cause "maker of Mega Man" didn't mean anything. Game sucked. Same with Bloodstained, "maker of Castlevania" meant nothing, game sucked.
@Jendeh: +2 cool points for bringing up Brandon Sanderson. That dude is a masterclass writer, and I've lost count of the times I've tried to get others to read his work only to have them dismiss it and say it's too long.
I haven't in a long time but the ones I did back are
Pillars of Eternity
Star Citizen
Wasteland 2
Insomnia: The Ark
Massive Chalice
Dragon Fin Soup
Broken Age
Torment: Tides of Numenera
Mighty No. 9, wish I could have never backed it though just was $20.
Shenmue 3, disappointed in the game though was a huge fan of Shenmue/Shenmue 2.
Gemaboy Zero X, was supposed to be released in January 2023. Hopefully it's better than Mighty No. 9 and releases before the end of 2023.
Star Citizen back when it was a new concept
A couple of random games like the Yakuza remake and some mobile only games like 7-8 years ago.
The new Swiftpoint Z mouse.
A couple of headphones.
Never backed any. BUT, if Larian's next project begin on kickstarter (after BG3 i really doubt it), they'll be my first.
