When did you get your drivers license?

I'm not sure about other countries, but in the USA, you can get a license at the age of 16.

I was hoping I would get one today since I turned 16, but I will probably wait til the weekend. (Is this a cover story for a birthday thread for me? Maybe.)

So OT, when did you get your license?

Earlier this February. Still waiting on the hard copy to come in.

Still don't have mine, and I'm 20.

in iran it's 18 and i got that when i was 18.

Got it soon after I turned 18. Didn't want to weight 6 months to get my license and have to record the hours driver stuff.

As soon as I turned 16. Been 17 years, yikes :?

Didn't get my full licence until.....2010....maybe. Though I had been driving for an extended period of time on the scum that is the second stage provisional licence (Australia)

i drove the week before the driving test and i passed at 18(yes first try)

16, after coming out of my Driver's Ed. class.

Was a fun 2 hour or so wait at the DMV lol.

what is the steps to getting a drivers license where you can drive yourself around in the U.S? Do you just turn 16 and go for a test?

I got my learner's permit when I was was 16, but I don't think I got my driver's license until I was 17.

a few months after i turned 16, 16 is when it starts in Canada, but with graduated licencing you can't get your full license till your 18

Got my permit at 15 and my license as soon as possible at 16.

Im 18 and I don't know how to drive.

15 didnt really drive till 18. and i still dont really drive much

In Canada you can get in when you're 16. Which would explain so many accidents involving 19-20 year old dumb kids. I got mine when I was 18. No accidents since then! Just a speeding ticket for driving at 71/KM per hour in 50KM per hour zone.

Got mine in December last year. I was and still is 20

TODAY!!! And I'm seriously not kidding!

I am 24 and have yet to get my license. Live in Seattle so we have a pretty decent public transportation system which has enabled me to never really need one. Live 5 blocks from my local Safeway and have all the fast food places I can handle right next to me. I have been with my girlfriend living together for 5 years and she drives so if we have a emergency or such she can get us there.

Feels nice being one of the few people with a real low carbon footprint.

Permit at 18, license at 21.

I got my Learner's at 15 and my drivers license at 16.

Got my Learner permit at 17 but I didn't get my license until I was 19. Have it for 1 year now its suspended.

I got mine when I was 19 since the test has less questions on it if you're an adult. :P
