What's your opinion on John Lennon?

I was watching a documentary on him yesterday and I thought to myself, he was a great guy, a great musician and a great father/husband but I couldn't help but think he was an attention whore with all the big statements he was trying to make.

Do you think his lifestyle/publicity choices were the result of an intelligent man expressing his views or just a hippy looking for attention?

Meh. Justin Beiber is much more talented.

He's my favorite singer, and Imagine is my favorite song. It almost seems like he got better when he left, at least in terms of the ideals the songs represent.

I have a lot of respect for the guy but there are many songwriters I prefer over him.

Not my fav Beatle. I don't really like his music after the Beatles broke up.

I like his work, but I probably wouldn't hesitate to punch him in the face.
