What’s your favorite nut(food)?

Hazelnut, mainly because it's great with chocolate.

A lot of those haven't tried. Very uncultured.

I'm a pistachio kind of dude.

I like all nuts that I've tried, but can't eat most of them because of silly allergies. But pistachios are fine for some reason.

I can kill a whole bag of pistachios, easy. Don't get sick of them at all. Almonds after that followed by the macadamia.

Peanuts are my go to. They are the cheapest and most readily available. My preferred variety is dry roasted and lightly salted.

If money wasn't an issue, and they were more convenient to eat, I'd go w/ Pistachios. The flavor profile is amazing!

Expensive, yet very soft and tasty.

I can go for all of them, but I do love almonds.

Imma go with pistachios and cashews.

I bought Pistachio Nuts (in addition to the usual nut mix I normally buy), due to Litchie's post. I hope they taste good.

I love nuts all around and frankly I feel conflicted picking just one.

But if I had to choose one, I'd say...pecan? Maybe walnut? They're both lighter-bodied than other nuts which is something I enjoy, they tend to come out "crispy" and "fluffy" when toasted compared to other nuts.

I really do love macadamias in sweet things, though, like cookies or chocolate-caramels. Cashews, too, though I don't think their uses are as widespread I do like just snacking on them.

Honestly there's nothing like a nice snack of freshly toasted nuts, still warm from the pan or oven.

Peanuts, as long as they are salted. I hate unsalted peanuts. In a very close 2nd place I would say almonds.

As @Litchie said, I'm also a Pistachio lover, those nuts are very delicious when there salty and I like splitting the shells as well for odd reasons. All the other nuts are fine but Pistachio's are my main snacks as far as nuts goes. My second choice is Cashews and again, got to have salt.

lol, nice. I think they're amazing with some salt. Once I start, can't stop eating them.

Cashews is a clear second choice for me as well. Perfect for when you're too lazy to split pistachio shells. :P

Probably go with cashews but almonds and pistachios are up there as well.

I love all nuts but pine nuts for me are my favourites by far. The smell alone is divine. A bit expensive but it's worth it.

@davillain: Pistachios are awesome! I just get the ones without the shell. I don’t like how they’re hard to pick off, unlike shell peanuts which is more easy to pick off, though. The green color is pretty awesome for pistachios however. They’re fun to snack on.
