I remember drinking a beer from a can when I was like 6 or 7 years old but always remembering that it tasted terrible.
What?! Coor's Light is amazing.Tasted awful when I was young, but it's not bad stuff now. Cept for Coors, that stuff sucks.

I had my first sip at 8 give or take on one of those mass camping trips that my family used to have with other relatives along and it was pretty nasty. Everyone told me that it was one of those acquired taste things that I would eventually grow into when I got older, but that never happened and to this day all beer tastes just as awful as the first day I sipped it.
I have yet to have a beer. >__>; [/not a very exciting college student]Aquat1cF1shNever had a beer and your in college? Get to it!
I was not expecting the taste, it had a kick to me. So I tried it again later and it was ok. Bud Light was just disgusting but this other brand (I forgot the name) didn't taste so bad. But I don't see myself becoming much of a beer drinker.

I had it a few months ago, it was pretty good, besides the fact that it lacked a lime.
Lacked a lime? It's beer not lemonade. my sentiments tooThat majestic moment where your lips had their first taste of Gods great poison. Tell me it. I dont have one since i cant drink....Capitan_Kid
It tasted terrible. I was 13 when I had my firstfull one. It was some fancy, expensive (well, relatively expensive) kind and I felt bad about wasting it so I had the whole thing even though I didn't like it.
I was 16, I drank half a beer, then I threw up :P
Took a few more kicks at the can before I started to enjoy the taste of beer.
Agreed. How am I supposed to magically grow to like something that taste so bad.beer sucked then and it still sucks now.

Most people don't like the taste of beer the first time they try it (including me), but over time you learn to tolerate it, then enjoy it. It's not "magical", it's just a new taste that takes some time to get used to. It can happen with any other type of food or drink as well.

[QUOTE="redstorm72"]It is magical :x I would argue that alcohol can be so, but beer not so much. every now and then my dad would let me drink the last ounce or so of his beer when I was like 7 years old. I loved it. I forgot the brand, but it was definately a lager.
and now I am a brewmaster. Thanks, dad.
i was really young. it was my dads home brew, the smell of cooking the mash is unforgetable. incredible. i love beer.....
All it tasted like was distilled grain, with alcohol. I prefer a pint of Guinness or mixed liquor any day, though. Beats what is known as carbonated urine known as Budweiser.hiphops_savior
and neat 15yr old single malt french oak scotch will beat any beer and any mixed drink anyday.....damn i love scotch.

So you are saying, you can train kids to drink the last, flat, lukewarm ounce of your beer so you are able to get a fresh one without wasting any? I knew there was a reason to have kids.

kids will also:
-mow your lawn
-take out the trash
-empty the dishwasher
-pull weeds
-if appropriate, babysit younger siblings so you and the wife can go out and have a good time
-and much, much more
Dad always said having kids was so he could have his own personal slave.

So what you are saying is, early beer consumption may NOT be the reason you are an alcoholic now?
