Raymond Feist's Magician saga.D3nnyCraneI can't believe I found someone who agrees with me on this.
Gaunt's Ghosts I think, closely followed by Eisenhornmarkop2003
Eisenhorn is AMAZING. Nothing quite compares to it.
I liked the Cirque Du Freak series by Darren Shan, good little horrors. most likely that not many people know about it....

It's a shame Ravenor let the series down, it's OK but the action scenes weren't written as well and i know Ravenor being basically a computer was part of his character but he was no where near as interesting as Eisenhorn. I wish Dan had expanded on Kys more too, perhaps to the point of making her the lead over the less interesting Inquisitor.[QUOTE="D3nnyCrane"]Raymond Feist's Magician saga.ShadowsDemonI can't believe I found someone who agrees with me on this.
I'm reading The Magician for the first time right now, I also have to other two books after it, I'm loving the book so far and cannot wait to get into the other books.
Anyway my favourate series is the Sword of Truth series of books. Also love anything Stephen King.

You should try the Talon of the Silver Hawk ones. They're great.A Song of Fire and Ice series (Game of Thrones)
easily took it's place as my favorite book series.
i've enjoyed Sci-fi books mostly written by the sadly now deceased Michael Chricten.
Jurassic Park, Lost World, Next, Prey, TimeLine, and Eaters of the Dead
were all awesome books and i highly recommend them. only book i've ever read by him that i hated was State of Fear, i literally could tell what was going to happen fairly early on in the story.
can't say i've read the Lord of The Rings novels, would like to one day.
I really read mostly nonfiction though, still haven't finished Orgins of Species, and i recently picked up "History of the Arab People" by Albert Hourani
also why haven't you read wheel of time it pretty easily fits into your type of bookJandurin
I'd only just heard of those not that long ago then forgot about them again between all my other books. When I do get around to finishing the series I'm reading now, I was going for A Song of Ice and Fire next then will give those a shot too. Thanks for the reminder :).
are you serious? those books quickly lose quality after the second bookAnyway my favourate series is the Sword of Truth series of books.

I've actually enjoyed those up to about book six...I started seven then lost interest in reading lol. But the first two are definitely the best of the series.

I'd say right now my top is George RR Martin's Song of Ice and Fire, so glad the show came to HBO so I could discover it and the books
also:
Dark Tower series, Stephen King (fantasy, would make a great series)
Ender/Shadow series, Orsan Scott Card (sci-fi, looking forward to the movie)
The Foundation series, Issac Asmiov (sci-fi, still haven't read the last 2 books)
The Ryanverse, Tom Clancy (polotical thriller)
LoTR series, JRR Tolkien (fantasy, the rare case where I liked the movies more then the books)

I heard Abnett is working on a third Inquisitor trilogy. I can't wait.
