ive never read one but i was going to choose one ive heard good things about this.

Really? I thought Hush was pretty poor actually.
Anyway my favourite:
ok, I'll admit it doesn't have the depth of The Dark Knight Returns or Year One (which are the other two of my top three), but it more than makes up for it in the story.
also..
...I find this to be pretty underrated.
