By card game I thought you meant actual card games like poke, hearts, blackjack, and pitch.

Magic is a much deeper and more complex game than either of the two.

Yu-Gi-Oh is easier to get into but relies far too muhc on tricks to dump your hand and win in 3 turns or less.

Pokemon has always just been an excuse to sell toys. I think more people collect them than actually play the cards.

I just started playing Magic: The Gathering about a week ago with some friends from work. So far, it's pretty fun. A little bit of a money pit (have spent approximately $90 on cards, dice for HP/counters, etc), but by default I would pick Magic.

If you are talking playing then Magic is far superior. If you mean collecting then Pokemon is the best out of three. I feel that Yugioh falls somewhere in the middle.

I never actually played any of the games, but I collected Pokemon cards for a good portion of my childhood. I still have the damn things, though I doubt they'll ever be worth anything one day.

I like Yu-Gi-Oh because of its fast playing style and lack of card rotation (I hate set rotation, it's my biggest gripe with Magic).

I really messed up not selling my pokemon cards back when they were still hot. I had a couple binders worth of holo cards and probably could've made hundreds of dollars. Now they're probably worth a nickel.
