what is so great about napoleon dynamite?

all my friends were just like "ZOMG Reid you have to watch napoleon dynamite" i noticed that it was really popular at my school and there were tons of merchandise everywhere. so finally i went out and rented it. i must say what a bad movie. i thought the main character along with most ethers were really annoying. also the dialog didn't amuse me either. and i thought it was boring. i sat through the entire movie and i didn't laugh once. i dunno. maybe i'm missing something. but i didn't think it was funny.

i think america's problem nowadays is that they are too obssesed with movies like Old School and Van Wilder that rely on sex and drugs for humor. i found it funny because of how stupid it was. and maybe the reason you folk dont seem to like it too much is because maybe you relate a little TOO much with napolean; i can seriously seeing you guys being the people that actually drew unicorns w/ farts coming out and playing tetherball with your feet.
