[QUOTE="AirGuitarist87"]English teacher in Japan. :Dmohan88:lol: What's so funny about that? :? Myself, I honestly don't know what I wanna be...
[QUOTE="AirGuitarist87"][QUOTE="mohan88"] :lol:mohan88Am I missing something? :? Why can't you teach at US? why all the way in Japan? Either way, that'd mean leaving the UK. And because I'd be teaching English as a foreign language. And Japan is awesome.
[QUOTE="AirGuitarist87"][QUOTE="mohan88"] :lol:mohan88Am I missing something? :? Why can't you teach at US? why all the way in Japan? To be selfish. lol. it's like a holiday teaching english in another country, you need not know the language of the students you just talk about random ****.

Wait, what's wrong with Britain? Do you live up North or something?clembo1990Indeed I do. Statistically the most likeliest place to be robbed. I don't think there's anything inherently wrong with Britain, per se, I just feel the need to do something different. I can't see myself living here for my entire life, and after a trip to Japan my decision became final.

I plan on this once I get out of college. It seems a lot of people use this as an easy means of just going to Japan, but I actually want to do it since I'm a Linguistics major....ok ok....part of the appeal IS Japan too:P When do you plan on departing?

I'm now only 50 miles south of my home (Essex) but I hate being away for long. It may be chavy, it may have more Land Rovers than people, it may be the law to act 10 feet taller than you are but its my home goddamnit! I'll take a white-lightening and heroin over a VAT of ravioli (my ideal place is Italy) any day. I went to the far east for a month, once. I felt that I changed a little bit, but people look at you differently, you can dress up and pretend you've changed but you can't change your skin (figure of speech), you'll always be looked as as an outsider, and you would be. But if it's the best thing for you it's understandable. If you really feel Japan fills that hole, lifts that weight that's always been there then by all means live there. Otherwise you'd be confusing yourself. You'd make up one day in a different bed, wondering. Wondering wtf you're doing 9000 miles away. I felt i needed to escape once, get as far away from the drones that buzzed around me, all dead behind the eyes and dumb as posts. But really, i just needed to get away from myself and gain a bit of insight.

I'm all for patriotism, I always refer to British spelling as "proper" or "true" ways of spelling things. But as I've said, I have a need to do something different. My philosophy has always been "I regret not doing something more than I regret having done something". I have a fear of mediocre and mundane, of staying within my comfort zone, and I know that staying here I would always have "settled" with something, rather than going to do what I've always wanted. If it turns out that I don't particularly like living so far away then I'd up and leave. You only live once, so make sure you get your money's worth.

After I finish my degree, I'm going to take a course and earn some money before setting off next year. So all in all, 2 years. :D What about you?
What do you want to become? what job are you going for? :Dmohan88
I wanna be a janitor when I grow up.

Sounds good. If all goes smoothly, it should be 2 years for me as well. Good luck;)
I'd like to be a critic- reviewing video games. :D
Seriously! :)
I'm already in college working towards a degree in mass communications. (So if becoming a video game reviewer doesn't work out, there are tons of other stuff I can do with a mass communications degree!)
