i just received my vista ultimate package today, needless to say took about 4 hours to install and it comes down to it, it's just a pretty facelift, some of my drivers are missing, some of the programs are not working!!! anybody have problem with your new vista?:evil:

It doesn't even seem like XP is dying. Everyone keeps saying it's old, but I don't feel the feeling I felt when we saw XP after using 98. VIsta just doesn't look like it is much different.
Vista may be worth it in a year or two but right now it aint a great choice. Most programs hardware and games etc just arent made for the vista OS. It's not suprising to have such a tough time with it and to have stuff missing after the install.
I could have got Vista on my new PC but got media centre XP instead, a computer technician advised me it was very very buggy, and apparently he was going round fixing loads of Vista PC's with internet issues in particular.

They're the best. 8)

Word. At this point, Vista is a piece. And to Franken, I buy OSX releases on day one because they are actually good.
