Yeah, compared to Germany and France which both has higher populations. I'm satisfied with our performance.
The U.S.'s track and field team this year was a dissapointment.. First gay gets hurt and doesn't even qualify for the 100 meter dash. Then our shotputters who were suppossed to sweep only got 1 silver. Then both the mens and womens relay team dropped the batons. It just didn't go our way in track and field. Usain Bolt is a damn beast though.
The U.S. suprised me though in volleyball and water polo.
yeah track and field didn't do great. We should have also won softball & waterpolo. We were awesome in swimming, and gymanstics giyanks22
yeah I can't believe we lost in softball. That was the most dominant team of all time in any sport. Mens gymnastics had some alternates because we had a few people hurt, so it was a pleasant suprise to win team bronze.

Volleyball is a little bit more dominant than Softball. Womens gymnastics also did well. I know a friend on giant bomb who goes to school with Sam Peszek, and is bringing Nastia and maybe Shawn J with her to school on mon or tuesday.

Damn I wanna go. Nastia is my girl.
But nah I think softball was more dominant.. they never got less than a gold medal until this year. Not only that, but they blew their oponents out. The first two games of this olympics, they pitched 2 no hitters. Do you know how hard a no hitter is? In a major league baseball season, they have maybe 3 no hitters in a season at most. Each team plays 162 games.. 32 teams.. you do the math. To pitch two no hitters in a row is frickin mind blowingly dominant. In like 5 games, they only gave up like 2 hits.. incredible.

okay so a bronze medal is worth as much as a gold
solve it this way
gold = 3 points
Silver= 2 points
Bronze= 1 point
china wins!

The olympics are about the athletes not which country wins so how could you possibly have a winner ? I don't see how you could and I don't understand these arguements ?EDIT- I did your so called solution and it came out 213 for china and 212 for the US with 2 days left.......

jointed
Considering we had half as many atheletes as the likes of Russia, China and the USA i think team GBR did a great job.
What are your views about olympic athletes??? Regardless of your opinion watch this vid honoring the olymians. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FAL3xcrK1Q4
They were good...except for Gymnastics when one of them lost and they started whining and complaining like a bad loser claiming the Australian judge was bias towards China(not sure why that would be?) and sent her death threats.darklord888
What the gymnastics team sent the judge death threats?! Did you like my video??
