Hello there fellow OT'ers, are you an avid baller? A court king? Pro dunker? Here's a topic listing off my opinion of the best basketballs out there. Hope you enjoy, feel free to provide your own list as well :D

I like Spalding the best. I've also had a cheep Reebok one the had nice grip.

I like the Wilson collegiate ball and the Spalding composite ball that came out a couple years ago that is no longer officially used by the NBA the best.

I like the Nike elite balls. Probably because I've been brainwashed by nike and michael jordan.

Terrible list. Spalding Traxxion Official NBA Game Basketball (discontinued) were discontinued for a reason. Those Wilson balls are terrible. Terrible terrible terrible. I'd hate having to use one in practice. I do like the TF-1000 and the Official Game ball.

Terrible list. Spalding Traxxion Official NBA Game Basketball (discontinued) were discontinued for a reason. Those Wilson balls are terrible. Terrible terrible terrible. I'd hate having to use one in practice. I do like the TF-1000 and the Official Game ball.Agent-Zero

They were discontinued because the ball bounced "differently". Ofcourse it will, the older one was Horween Leather Grain, the newer one was an advanced microfiber composite. Yes, the majority of big name NBA players didn't like it, but despite Texas' study, it was mainly because the Leather version had been standard for so long that they didn't "really" give it a chance... Hell, they had only been used for the 06/07 All Star game and the 3pt shoot-out. The Wilson balls aren't terrible, but they definately feel different per say Spalding balls. If Wilson was THAT bad, I highly doubt it would be the NCAA Official Ball. Call me crazy... You wanna know terrible? Rawlings, Tachikara, Reebok, Molten...THOSE are terrible...

Nah, I've personally used the Nike Elite Championship & the Jordan Championship and they're both awesome. More and more high schools & colleges are starting to use the Nike Elite Champ balls for practices and games. Though I like the Jordan Championship a little more because the bounce is more even, while the Nike Champ ball bounces a bit too high for my taste. But then again, the Nike Champ ball I used could have been over-inflated...

Or you know Wilson could be just paying the NCAA a lot of money, or they're stuck in a contract with them.

That could be possible. I don't think Wilson basketballs are great either, hence why they're located at the bottom of my list.

Especially when the new balls grip gets better as you use it.
