wow, bet he wasn't arrested either

how the hell do I know, do you think I attend every pro-immigration rally.
[QUOTE="Theokhoth"]Why would he be arrested? Free speech. And no, that doesn't make me angry, because I know he won't get tax-free jobs for waving a sign. I do know, however, that the new Arizona law will result in a significant increase of crime against police officers, mainly due to the fact that it's an unconstitutional race bill that grants the power to treat Mexicans as second-cIass citizens.Duckman5That's a threat.
Threats against a general demographic aren't arrest-able offenses. If he said, "The deputy sheriff will be shot" then he might be questioned (but even then, he didn't say he'd do the shooting).
Think of it this way: people waving signs saying there'll be more terrorist attacks in New York.

Then you don't know the context of the picture, and shouldn't post it.
Well it seems kinda obvious what they're protesting aboutThen you don't know the context of the picture, and shouldn't post it.
SgtKevali
yes i'm sure there's a context that justifies demanding free food and jobs and shooting cops who uphold the law
should have known there'd be a heap of liberal apologists for this guy.
That's kind of what I figured once I saw the that picture was from infowars.com. Either that or they got someone to hold that sign themselves.I suspect someone edited that guy's sign on photoshop to say that.

 Well, I'm sorry if I don't believe a random picture with no background information that comes from a website of a conspiracy theorist.
[QUOTE="StopThePresses"]Infowars. LOL.Deano
so what
if I hosted it from photobucket would it make it less valid.
Well, I was going to ask where it came from originally. One tells me nothing about the validity (Photobucket) and the other tells me that it's coming from people who have nothing better to do than to spin crazy conspiracy theories all day long (Infowars).[QUOTE="SgtKevali"]

I want to know the context. Who is this guy, what group is he a part of etc. Without this it's just some idiot holding a sign. You can't just dump him under "pro-immigration".

The context is that it comes from one of Infowars, one of the big conspiracy theory websites. IIRC it is part of a network of sites which pretty much blames most of the world's ills on "Zionists", but I might be wrong about that and honestly the particular details of it aren't especially relevant to me.Anne Lamott is an excellent writer btw. Have you read bird by bird? It's a book written for writers, but it is very good.I haven't read that, no. Maybe I'll borrow it from the library some time.WSP87
Wait are mexicans still mad about Texas?

Are americans still mad about 9/11?
Oh and btw, economically speaking its like trading a foiled Charizard for a rock.

9/11 was less than 10 years ago. The Mexican American war was over 160 years ago. I don't understand the comparison.[QUOTE="NoobisMaxcimus"]

A foiled charizard? I can only assume this is some type of cardboard trading card?Is it just me, or does the texture of the writing on the sign bear an awfully strong resemblance to the airbrush tool in Photoshop, right down to the slightly crooked curved lines?

You'd think it was photoshopped, but I would doubt it. They practically get everything free anyways and it's bankrupting California.
