Most of the comments I've heard or read about The Book of Eli have said that the movie was not as good as they expected it to be or that it was merely okay. However, I actually think the opposite of this movie. I loved everything about it; the cinematography was great. I loved the "dull" earth tones used for the color. I also loved the post apocalyptic setting; most of the locations were desolate. I like desolate scenery, like in other films such as I Am Legend. I loved the main character, he was such a badass. Here you have a man all on his own who's completely dedicated to accomplishing his task and is practically unstoppable, bar the last battle he finds himself in. Even though there have been characters such as this one before, this film's use of this type of character didn't feel cliche or forced. It felt genuine. Anyhow, what did you guys think of this movie? [spoiler] Did you suspect that the book he was protecting was a Bible? Also, did you ever think that he was blind? Can you think of any inconsistencies in the film regarding him being blind?
