The best way to make this forum popular

This forum currently sucks... why? For many reasons that I am too lazy to name, but luckily there is no need to name them because I have the solution to all of the forum's problems. We need to remove all rules. Let people curse at each other, post porn, say racist things... basically let people do anything. This is the only way to make things fun. Please make this happen asap.

i dont know about all that. i did think about at least the thought expressed in the subject by itself. i figured they could mention the forums in some of the clips that youtube peoples watch. that a comment came from the forum specifically for something in feebackula or its friends. of course that would all just be for the sake of me lurking in more conversations. it doesnt need any help in the long run i think. it will do just fine gathering its own momentum. then everyone will start to complain that its too busy right?

Actually, I think other changes would help, ban all political and religious threads and reinstitute the ban on cursing. Once the change was made in Dec. 2011 where swearing was allowed as well as trolling and a couple of other changes to the rules, the number of people who regularly visited started dropping even faster than what it was prior to that. Get people to actually think about what they are posting in reply to someone instead of in effect just saying f*** you.

I wouldn't mind it if any type of religious preference threads were disallowed...OT is quite known for its viewpoints, but there are constantly threads of this nature. Nevertheless, that's my viewpoint, understand them as mere opinion please.

forum's death is a problem.it used to be lively before the change. I just made an analysis of the great traffic during the old site,it's like 1000 messages in just one day,now we have like 10 or less.you want to cheat forum's death? SPAM OR SPILLING PORK/LARD IS NEVER THE SOLUTION,just put up all the positive experiences or useful shenanigans that's worthy for everyone

I disagree on removing the rules. I would leave if this place turned into a YouTube or Yahoo comment section. I think that permabanning members is the problem. Banning everyone leaves you with no one.

Free money for how ever many posts one makes in the forum. Spam doesn't count.

I know the extra life charity isn't a competition but man....Giantbomb had a 48 hour stream, and Gamespot had a 72 hour stream. GB raised like $100,000 while GS just raised over $10,000. I'm only stating those numbers to correlate to the number of visitors on the respective sites. GS would have probably raised more had it not been for the recent change.....so yeah, GS is pretty much dying.
