Do you think The Social Network really deserved the award it got for "Best Original Score"?

If not, what do you think should have won?

Black Swan. I'm glad The Social Network won, though.

Inception's soundtrack was a freakin' beast. Hans Zimmer always puts out amazing music.

Yes, simply because NIN is one of my favorite bands :P.

Seriously though, as epic as Inception's OST's was, it's not really unique enough. It's just Hans Zimmer doing what he does best.

Yeah but he does it damn well. He's only won one oscar, all the way back to Lion King. The man deserves to win an oscar for his signature heavy, epic music.

Inception should have won. Actually no TRON should have won. The score in that movie was like this combo between orchestra and Techno. It was epic.

Who honestly cares what the Oscars thinks? I mean they didn't even nominate the scores for Sunshine or The Fountain, two of the best scores I've ever heard.

I think that either Inception or How to Train Your Dragon should've won... Both were amazing.

Especially Inception's Dream is Collapsing. Best theme ever.

oh and TRON LEGACY WAS AWESOMEEEEE

suuuch a good soundtrack.... stinks it wasn't even nominated. How can you give the award to The Social Network and yet not even NOMINATE Tron Legacy?

To be honest, I really couldn't enjoy The Social Network's music. It was so repetitive and strange that I just couldn't enjoy it.. though I'm sure many have differing opinions.

Both Inception and Tron were great OST. However OST for the Social Network was just as good. All three made their films better.

From the scores in films I heard last year, The Social Network definitely deserved the win.

I didn't think much of Inception's score. Unoriginal, cookie-cutter "dramatic" music:

DUN!-dun-dun-dun-dun-DUN!-dun-dun-DUN!-dun-DUN!-dun-DUN!-dun-dun-dun-dun-DUN!-dun-DUN!-dun-dun...

But then I'm not a huge fan of Hans Zimmer anyway so... yeah.

and this are how I feel on the matter.

Really wish Tron was at least nominated.
