Poll Terminator fans, who played the best John Connor Role? (25 votes)

Michael Edwards-Terminator 2: Judgement Day 44%
Edward Furlong-Terminator 2 3D: Battle Across Time 20%
Nick Stahl-Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines 8%
Thomas Dekker-Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles T.V series 8%
Christian Bale-Terminator 4: Salvation 20%
Jason Clarke-Terminator 5: genisys 0%

Okay Terminator fans, over the past decades, who's the best role playing Humankind savior that is John Connor? It's hard for me to pick but for me, John Connor was best kept as an unseen myth like in T1 but only briefly seen in T2 as the battle-hardened military master. I watch all the Terminator movies and t.v shows so who's the best John Connor?

.. am going to go with the unpopular vote and go with T3's Nick Stahl or portrayed a far more human character caught up in something that he didn't want to be involved in.. Christian Bale was a stereotypical soldier with absolutely no character depth what so ever.. And Edward Furlong I wanted to strangle through out the entire T2 movie, really felt like the entire movie was brought down due to him..

I actually liked Bale's character. That movie represented, to me, how a real resistance movement might be accomplished.

As much as I couldn't stand his high pitched voice at times, Edward Furlong is my fav.

To be honest they all kinda suck. I guess I dislike the original John Connor (Michael Edwards) the least, since he barely spoke and just stood there looking tough. Bale's Connor would have been okay if not for his "I-learned-to-talk-tough-in-Batman" voice.

Edward Furlong felt like a real boy with intelligence, edge but also vulnerable. The story evolution from the previous movie of Sarah Conner (understandably) being put into a mental institution knowing about the upcoming future makes sense in explaining why he is a little bastard at the start of the movie. Both he, his mother and the Terminator character work off each other developing and growing to create an emotionally satisfying ending.

- Christian Bale does his monotone Batman voice again basically having no character beyond generic military man.

- Nick Stahl, can barely remember.

- Jason Clarke, less a problem of his performance and more to do with everything around it.

Edward Furlong. He was perfect as the young John Connor, and he had a great chemistry with Arnold. I absolutely hated every other John Connor, because I was always thinking "This should've been Edward Furlong, not you". I just couldn't care.

He made some bad life decisions (the typical "child star gone bad" story), which hurt his career, but I always liked him as an actor and the movies he was in. American History X, Brainscan, Little Odessa, Detroit Rock City and Animal Factory were all good movies, just to name a few... and Terminator 2 will always be my favorite movie of all time!
