As if that somehow defines how good of a poster you are. I myself don't understand this at all. I see some of the lower levels and posters saying "I wanna tons of post and a superhigh level so I can be cool!". :| Do you really think that makes or breaks how people see you? I don't. And if it does it shouldn't. What needs to be understood is that its the content of the posts that makes you who you are and make people respect you...not the manner in which they're posted.

Nope not at all. My level and post count is an effect of the time I've been here (since August 26th 2004). There was a time when post count and level mattered to me I'll admit...but then I wised up and well....not anymore.
Im not like that. I had some people say to me "you don't know nothing" then insult my post count. Alot of times it takes me a while to post because I have to open new tabs and then find the link im going to show.... who says that? I do. The higher the level the more confidence I have in my everyday life. Needless to say being stuck on level 20 has me in a deep deep depression. I yearn for the light at the end of the tunnel, so that I might go on with my life and continue to improve myself and post more at higher levels and then yell at those with lower levels shattering their egos because they have not been a registered active member as long as I have. This topic does make a little sense though. People make thread after thread, the same thread and don't really include any actual substance into their posts "YES! Another recommendation thread! YES! That's how my brother is, only it's with games. He's probably checked out more games than I have (trust me, it's waay up there), but he cares about acheivement points and 100% completion as if it's the main goal of any game, when in reality the plan is to have fun. Rank diggers, I call it.
It is the only way I can impress my online girlfriend :( She has been getting wooed by a guy with a higher level than me with about 2,000 more posts. That woman is such a floozy, getting impressed so easily and having a wandering e-eye just because someone has a higher level and post count than me.
It doesnt really matter to me. Ill go to post parties cause they are fun and all lol, but its not important to me. What is important is the post itsself. I admit ill be like "oh yay lvl up!" TO MYSELF when i do progress to the next level. Am I gonna have a post party when I reach my 10k? ....You betcha! Why? Cause its fun for everyone! I dont really care if i get a ton of congrats. or anything, i just likes to partay lol

The only problem I have with them thinking that is there are too many posters who post little more than spam anymore. That and they are so proud of themselves for reaching 10k in 3 months or so. It took me a year of posting to reach 10k and for a while I posted quite a bit a day. I find it insane that there are people who actually reach the daily posting limits because even when I did post quite a bit a day I was never close to the posting limits.

In this thread I see Sunsha and BDM that I actually consider e-friends and that's about it - it's not just that this community is huge it's just that people don't seem to have any character.

While level and post count does naturally earn individuals senority, I agree that it's best not to get wrapped up in that. Judge not by the number of their posts, but on the content of their messages. :)
