Some good anime for those who say anime is lame.

Okay alot of anime is genric stale unorgional crap. But here is some great anime that makes it so special to me.

1.Cowboy Bebop

2.Ghost In The Shell

3.Blood +

4.Trigun

5.Dominion Tank Police

6.Ruroni Kenshin

7.Full Metal Alchemist

8.Yu Yu Hakisho

These are all short and sweet (about 15-50 episodes) instead of long and convuluted like a lot of anime. They have great animation unlike all that generic backgrounds lots of annoying yelling no combat shown just face closups full of filler crap. Great stories instead of stupid crap. And what many animes lack. Personality style and heart.

And here are ones I haven't seen but hear are very good.

3.Neon Genesis Evongellion

4.Hellsing

Hmmm I'd rate Trigun, Neon Genesis and Tenchi Muyo as my favourites.

Don't forget movies by Studio Ghibli, like Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind etc etc.

Thats like saying all american comedy shows suck like all those dumb single season shows that get cancelled but there are many good ones amongst the crap like The Office.

Ugh, I hate blood +...one of the "typical anime shows" that I can't stand. The rest I hear are pretty good though, FMA, Death Note, Hellsing, GITS, I want to watch but Death Note is fairly new and now it's too late to get into it. I'll check out season dvd's and stuff though for the rest.

Oh, and Cowboy Bebop is awesome.

I don't like anime at all, but I found and watched every single episode of Full Metal Alchemist. Then I watched the movie. Don't know why, it just doesn't seem as "anime" as others I have seen. dlindenb2000

that's 12 shows, most of them are great(I've watch them). But out of what? Several Thousand shows? You can still look on anime as "total suckage" with just a few exceptions. :PErasorn

Same is true for all entertainment. For every good tv show there are 20 crappy ones. For every awesome song you hear on the radio there are a billion pieces of trash. Point is that there are tons of good anime out there, and there is literally something for everyone. So its not total suckage, you just have to find the ones you like.

First time I've ever even seen this mentioned here. F/SN is one of my favorites and I'm glad it got an anime adaptation (I'm a Nasuverse fan.) It has a nice blend of Drama/Action/Romance, but Shirou is a bit of an annoying retard in Fate Route.

The characters have an incredible amount of depth..it's a pity that Fate Route (which the anime followed for the most part) only scratches the surface.
