That day we celebrate the very first zombie!
Anyone have any zombie related celebrations planned?

Children followed Eoster wherever she went, as she loved to sing and entertain them with magic. One day, while sitting in a garden with her tag-a long children, a lovely songbird fluttered down to sit on her hand.
She whispered a few words, and the bird was transformed into her favorite animal, the rabbit.
This delighted the children, until they noticed that the rabbit was trembling with fear and anguish. That's when everyone realized how unhappy the rabbit was at this transformation, as it could no longer sing nor soar into the sky.
Instead, it had been changed into a mute, defenseless, unhappy creature, unable to defend itself against predators, be they animal or human.
The children begged Eostre to reverse the spell, but having broken the "as ye harm none, do as ye will" rule, she found her power diminished to a point where she was no longer able to do so. Thus the former bird must remain a rabbit for the most part of the year.
Except at the onset of spring, when Eostre's power is at its height,then the rabbit can return to its bird-form for a short while and lay its eggs. In celebration of its brief freedom and to reward the children who asked the Goddess to undo the spell, Eostre's rabbit carries its eggs to children throughout the world.
To remind the world of her folly, Eostre herself etched the outline of a rabbit into the face of the full moon, where you can see it facing left with its ears going back to the right. Thus it soars safely against the sky, far removed from the perils that threaten it down here on Earth.
@br0kenrabbit:
Did you only come to this topic because its a Easter topic and you have rabbit in your user name?

i woke up to a dead rabbit on my back porch.
head was missing, front legs detached from the torso, and the whole rest of the torso was still there.

It ain't Easter
Oh but it is. Eastertide lasts until the Feast of Pentecost. Each Sunday until Pentecost is treated the same as Easter Sunday, while for the first week after Easter, everyday is considered equal in importance to Easter Sunday.

Hey, if your gonna have a party you might as well make it 50 days long. And make the 1st week after Easter particularly crazy.
@konvikt_17:
Where do you live that has wild animals such as foxes and coyotes?
And if I ever live in your area, are these animals dangerous?
We have both out here in East Tennessee. Bears, too! Only have to worry about the bears, but you don't want to keep a dog chained up outside with coyotes around. Not that I'd keep a dog chained up outside anyway, that's cruel.

Illinois.
i havent seen any coyotes, but have heard them. The fox was following my dad one morning when he went for his run. didnt try to attack him or anything.
lived here for about 5 or so years and this is the first incident like this we have had.
we often put our shih tzu out back on the chain at night to go to the bathroom and nothing has happened to her.(though now, im just gonna take her out front on a leash)
oh and by on a chain, i mean for the 5 to 10 minutes it takes for her to do her business. then i bring her in.

Shouldn't be a problem, but coyotes are territorial and see other canines as competition. They're shy around humans though so it'll probably take more than a few minutes of your absence for them to get the balls to get near. But...shit happens.
