I was working today, and as I gave this guy his check he asked, "Hey wanna see a movie tomorrow? Here's my number." I took the number, but I didn't answer. He was mildly attractive though, and Im not doing anything that night...what do you think? should I call him?

Can't be too cautious. It could very well just be a nice gesture and all, but I'm paranoid as crap when it comes to things like that, and I don't know if I'd risk it unless you had something of an escape plan set up.
So long as you proceed cautiously and don't allow the person to walk you home(or much of anything in a non-public area...maybe see the earlier evening show instead of the later show) I don't think there's all too much to worry about.
no harm in a call but always trust your instints. there are some crazy ppl out here so maybe set up a date for another time so you can get to know more about him thru your conversations over the phone. go out when you feel comfortable with him. don't let his hottness fool you into something you'll regret.

I think you should go for it. Maybe when you are on the date you should ask questions about him. If he gives you the answers you don't want, just have fun, and think of him as a friend.
