I've had a really lousy run at the cinema recently lol :P I love how in the other thread I was called pretentious because I wanted to see something that didn't involve explosions.

500 Day of Summer - 10/10

I guess I'm easily entertained.
That's all the movies I saw since September, I think. I also watched the first half of an Ashton Kutcher flick... he was shagging women for money or something.
And I saw a crapload of documentaries, I've been in the staff of two festivals and had to watch and review (and sometimes more) a bazillion of them...
Lol I forgot about 2012 and A Christmas Carol. Both get a 10/10. I'm generous.
The Siege: 8/10
Inglorious Basterds: 10/10
Bruno: 7/10 I lol'd at the Ron Paul bit
Cinderella: 10/10
2012: 5/10
The Informant! 7/10. A fun farce film with a great performance by Matt Damon. The internal monologue humor was a bit hit and miss, but I understood why it was there.
Monty Python: Almost the truth. 10/10 Fascinating documentary about some of the best comedians in history. Great insight into their lives, and some good clips of rare material.
Crazy Heart 7.5/10. An enjoyble film with a fantastic performance by Jeff Bridges. Story is nothing special though and Maggie Gyllenhaal wasn't so good. Their chemistry was a bit off, and the story is a bit aimless for a while. Still worth seeing though just for Jeff Bridges.
Bill Bailey's Tinselworm. 6.5/10. I love Bill Bailey. He is one of the best comedians around, but this one was a bit disappointing. Had a few great moments though.
Welcome to the dollhouse 9/10 A Classic dark comedy by the master Todd Solodnz. Very bleak film.

Die Hard- 10/10
It's Die Hard :|
District 9- 8/10
The second time I saw this, the beginning felt a little slower because I knew what I was getting into whereas the first time I saw it I had no idea how detailed and shocking it would be, but I was still very impressed by how well it managed to merge the mockumentary and cinematic portions together.
Avatar- 8.5/10
Yes, the story has been done before, yes the villains are almost cartoony in their resolve, yes the love story has absolutely no natural flow or progression, but goddammit, the imagery conveyed all the emotion that the characters didn't, and that last battle scene was freaking AMAZING.
I don't remember what came before that...
Case 39- 7 out of 10
Tropic Thunder- 8 out of 10
Zombieland- 9 out of 10
Those 3 are all I kind think of.
I get impressed easily!

[QUOTE="Baranga"]Drag Me To Hell - 10/10
RobboElRobbo
How people can like this movie baffles me SO MUCH.
Maybe it's because I know it's intended as a spoof and makes fun of cliches. Whoever thinks it was supposed to be scary is nuts.
You have no soul if you didn't like the goat scene at least
End of Days - 2/10. The only reason it gets a 2 is because Arnold Schwarzenegger saying "You're a f*****g choir boy compared to me! A CHOIR BOY!" Saves it from being the worst movie I've ever seen.
District 9 -9/10
Crank - 2/10
The Maiden Heist- 8/10
Hannah Montana the movie- 3/10
Gran Tourino- 9/10
I had already seen Gran Tourino earlier in the year, but at my friend's house his Dad was watching it, and I had to rate it again because it was so awesome and also I really didn't watch Hannah Montana, my sister was, and I was playing Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks, but I knew that it would be a crappy movie anyway.
