I can't be the only person here who eats them on a frequent basis. And I mean the instant kind, not the original Japanese kind. I usually prefer the Chicken or the Beef, but someone told me that the Mushroom and the Chicken Mushroom are way better.

Opinions? Should I try them or not? Are there any flavors you yourself prefer over any other?

I like the ones from the asian market, or adding some things of my own to them

They're cheap for a reason..... but they're not terrible; and you can certainly add to them.

I don't eat ramen. There were times when I was a very poor college student and I ate ramen a lot. Snack on dry ramen, make ramen for dinner, repeat. I don't eat ramen anymore since I can afford... well anything else.

We don't really have instant ramen around here but we do have instant noodles and I expect the two to be one and the same. I love the stuff more than I should. If only it wasn't bad for one's health. My consumption of instant noodles over the years has always been proportionate to my financial situation. As such, it has witnessed a surge recently but I practice moderation as much as possible. I mean from what I hear about what constitutes high consumption of it I expect I'd be considered on the safe side but I set my own standards anyway. We don't have a variety of brands around here anymore which really sucks. Most of the brands I love disappeared in favor of popular shit. Apparently the taste was too exotic for many people.

Go find an actual ramen shop/restaurant. The instant stuff (at least in the States) is friggin terrible.

Agreed.

Find a Japanese ramen place - not just a generic Japanese restaurant, but one that actually specialises in ramen and nothing else.

Assuming that you live in a good food area, it should be cheap, and it should be awesome.

For example, people's photos from two of my favourite ramen places:
