The first few episodes of the first season weren't that good, but the rest of the series has gotten better as a whole. It's not a great show, but it's decent.
Yes. I think CW is trying to piggyback the Flash off of Arrow's success (the scene where Barry got struck by the lightning from the particle accelerator) actually happened during the "mid-season finale" of Season 2 of Arrow. Plus the Arrow briefly appeared in yesterday's Flash episode. From what I've heard, the mid-season finale (before the shows take a break for the weeks around Christmas) of Arrow and the Flash will be a crossover, with the plot lines from both shows intersecting. Arrow is in its 3rd season so that might be an issue if you haven't seen seasons 1 and 2 yet (both are out on DVD and available on Netflix). I would say Arrow is more realistic than the Flash, though in season 2 we did get some things that weren't realistic (Mirakuru guys).

Yeah, my thoughts too. Season 2 seemed to move faster, I think the early episodes of Season 1 feel more unrelated although my guess is they might be better seeing them again knowing what happened with the whole Undertaking plot.
It's decent enough...I kinda forgot about the show after the first season but a few weeks back watched the whole second season in a week and it was quite good.
First season is decent, second season made up for season's one slow pace. I failed to watch tonight's episode due to homework but in general the show is decent. But it's not for everyone.
I have it on my to-watch list, still haven't gotten around to trying it out though. I've been thinking these couple of days about starting a new show so I may give it a try too. From the looks of it however, not too many people are excited about it enough.

Arrow is fantastic. Just keep in mind that the first few episodes are not that great, but the show improves significantly after that.
I had the same similar experience when I watched The Flash pilot months ago. It was pretty good so thanks to Netflix and online, we began watching Arrow. Man, we went on a purge as we couldn't stop watching each episode. Took us a couple weeks to finish both seasons. I remember reading comments on social media that Arrow was better than Marvel Agents of Shield a long time ago, and now I understand those comments. I will be watching both along with Gotham.

Arrow is awesome, it's the only series that has really made me watch every episode when it comes out each week since Smallville
So I guess you're like the Arrow himself: you never miss.
If Arrow had a different main actor the show would be a 9. Stephen Amell is a garbage actor. But that can be overlooked when playing a superhero character, apparently.
I definitely think it is worth watching. I personally preferred season one since it seemed darker and more mysterious but overall it has been one of the more enjoyable series I have watched in recent years.
I think it's pretty good, although I've only watched the first season so far and I haven't watched The Flash, so I won't be able to compare those two. And, unfortunately, neither have I read the original comics. But yes, I think it's worth watching.
